Notice of Successor Commodity Reference Price

Dear Sirs,

This Notice is provided to you to inform you that Barclays is offering to buy back the Notes at par for all orders received and confirmed by it as Issuer on or before 11:00 a.m. London time on 12 February 2014. No further purchase of the Notes by investors is, or will be, possible and any purchase of the Notes by Barclays will be in its sole discretion. Please contact your relationship manager for further information.

To the holders of Notes after this time Barclays hereby notifies you that:

1. the Index Sponsor will discontinue the publication of and permanently cancel the CORALS (USD) Total Return IndexTM, as displayed on http://ecommerce.barcap.com/indices and Bloomberg (ticker: BXIICORT ) and 28 March 2014 is the last expected day when the Index will be calculated and published;

2. as Determination Agent, Barclays has determined that the Barclays Commodity Strategy 1648 Index Total Return (Bloomberg ticker: BXCS1648 ) (the "Successor Index") shall be used to determine the Successor Commodity Reference Price, pursuant to paragraph 3 (Adjustments to Commodity Index) of the Annex (Additional Terms and Conditions relating to the Commodity Index) to the Final Terms; and

3. as of 21 March 2014 (the "Transition Date"), all references within the Final Terms to the CORALS (USD) Total Return IndexTM shall be deemed to be references to the Successor Index and the Final Terms shall be amended and restated to reflect this. In all other respects the Conditions of the Notes will remain in full effect.

Capitalised terms used but not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings given to them in the Final Terms dated 15 August 2008, as read in conjunction with the Base Prospectus dated 28 March 2008 (as supplemented and amended).
