Sanctuary Group PLC12 January 2006 Notification of Major interests in shares The Sanctuary Group plc ('the Company') 12 January 2006 The Company was notified on 11 January 2006 that on 10 January 2006 MorganStanley Securities Limited ("MSSL") disposed of an interest in the ordinaryshares of the Company with the result that MSSL has an interest in 28,392,914Ordinary Shares of the Company, representing 7.65% of the Company's issued sharecapital. At the same time, MSSL has notified the Company that from time to time MSSL hastransferred 2,663,294 shares to a third party on terms which gives MSSL theright to require the return of an equivalent number of shares.
