MoPowered announces the launch of the MoPowered Professional product, aimedat mid-market online businesses
MoPowered Group plc, a leader in mobile commerce enablement solutions, announces that it has launched today its new MoPowered Professional product. This new product is aimed at mid-market online businesses. It uses the MoPowered mobile commerce platform to deliver high-end mobile websites and native mobile apps to pure online and multi-channel retailers.
In tandem with the launch of MoPowered Professional, the Group has launched a new corporate website and video to better communicate its broader product suite (available at www.mopowered.co.uk).
MoPowered Professional has been designed to combine the existing low-cost, quick-to-market SaaS advantages of the MoPowered platform with the high level of customisation and additional features that are required by larger clients. This allows medium-sized retailers to bring sophisticated mobile web and mobile app experiences to their customers without prohibitive capital expenditure.
With mobile internet traffic in many cases now outstripping traditional desktop traffic and mobile commerce set to grow by 39% per annum until 2016, MoPowered Professional enables online retailers, who were previously restricted from offering a mobile shopping experience through their capital or internal IT resource restrictions, the chance to exploit the revenue opportunity that mobile offers.
A number of UK online retailers including fashion retailers such as Shoes International and Atterley Road have already subscribed to the new MoPowered Professional platform with their mobile sites currently under development. The platform is applicable to a broad range of ecommerce businesses. Other notable contracted subscribers include Normans Music, a leading seller of musical instruments, and E-Trade Counter, a supplier of DIY supplies.
Management estimates there to be a potential market of circa 4,000 mid-market online retailers in the UK and in excess of 100,000 across Western Europe and the USA, therefore MoPowered Professional expects strong growth as mobile commerce becomes a necessity for all retailers over the coming months and years.
Notice of results
Results for MoPowered Limited and its subsidiaries for the year ended 31 December 2013 are expected to be announced on Tuesday 13 May.
