Timing of Smith & Nephew second quarter and
half year results

Smith & Nephew plc (LSE: SN, NYSE: SNN), the global medical technology business, will announce its results for the second quarter and half year ended 3 July 2010 on Thursday 5 August 2010 at 7am BST/2.00am Eastern time. A presentation for financial analysts will be held at 9.00am BST/4.00am Eastern time, which can be seen live via webcast on the Smith & Nephew website at www.smith-nephew.com and available on the site archive shortly afterwards.
