Verizon Communications Inc. (the "Company") makes the following announcement:

The Company received notification on February 13, 2015 that Daniel S. Mead, Executive Vice President and President and Chief Executive Officer - Verizon Wireless of the Company, a person discharging managerial responsibility, sold 24,898 shares of common stock of the Company (the "Shares") on February 12, 2015. Mr. Mead sold the Shares in the United States at a weighted average price per share of USD 49.70. These shares were sold in multiple transactions at prices per share ranging from USD 49.66 to USD 49.75. The reporting person will provide to Verizon Communications Inc., any security holder of Verizon Communications Inc., or the staff of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, upon request, full information regarding the number of shares sold at each separate price within the range set forth herein.
