Verizon Communications Inc. (the "Company") makes the following announcement:

The Company received notification on May 4, 2015 that Anthony T. Skiadas, Senior Vice President and Controller of the Company, a person discharging managerial responsibility, sold 2,708 shares of common stock of the Company (the "Shares") on May 1, 2015. Mr. Skiadas sold the Shares in the United States at an average price of USD 50.74. The sale of the Shares was made pursuant to Mr. Skiadas' sales plan under Rule 10b5-1(c) of the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
