Notice of intention to appoint administrators

The board of directors (the "Board") of Hampson Industries PLC (the "Company") announces that the Board has filed a notice of intention to appoint Simon Ian Kirkhope and Chad Griffin of FTI Consulting LLP as joint administrators of the Company pursuant to the Insolvency Act 1986. The appointment is expected to become effective later today.

A further announcement will be made in due course.
