London, 25 August 2010 - Further to the announcement on 2 June 2010 in relation to the recommended acquisition of Black Marlin Energy Holdings Ltd, the Board of Afren plc (the "Company") gives notice that a General Meeting ("GM") of the Company will be held at the offices of White & Case LLP, 5 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1DW on 21 September 2010 at 11:00 a.m. The Notice of the GM was posted to shareholders today.
