Sunplus Board of Directors Propose NT$0.8 Cash Dividend Per Share

Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, April 27th, 2011 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. (TAIEX: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today held the meeting of the Board of Directors and Supervisors, at which the board adopted a proposal recommending distribution of NT$0.8 cash dividend per common share. According to this proposal, GDR holders will get NT$1.6 cash dividend per GDR share for each GDR share represents 2 common Sunplus shares. The proposal will be discussed and voted on at the company's annual shareholders' meeting scheduled on June 10th, 2011.

The standalone net sales of Sunplus in 2010 was NT$6,130 million, and net income after tax was NT$774 million, with earning per share of NT$1.3 based on outstanding shares 596,909,919 shares on 2010/12/31.

Sunplus 2011 Annual General Shareholders' Meeting will be held in Room 205 of Science Park Life Hub, No.1, Industrial East Road 2, Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, June 10th, 2011. Invitations to the shareholders will be sent 30 days prior to the date of the shareholders' meeting by mail. The brief summary is as follows:
