Notice of AGM and 2011 Report and Accounts

EMED Mining Public Limited ("EMED Mining" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that notice of the Company's Annual General Meeting for 2012 (the "AGM"), the associated Management Information Circular and the Company's 2011 Annual Report (the "Meeting Materials") were posted to shareholders on 18 May 2012. The AGM is to be held at the Rio Tinto Mine, EMED Tartessus, La Dehesa s/n, Minas de Riotinto, 21660 Huelva, Spain on Wednesday, 13 June 2012 at 11.00 a.m. (Spanish time).

Copies of the Meeting Materials are available for viewing or download from the Company's website at www.emed-mining.com (at http://emed-mining.com/table/notices). Shareholders wishing to attend the AGM and associated community-related activities are requested to RSVP before 1 June 2012 by emailing [email protected].

Shareholders will find information on the resolutions to be proposed at the AGM set out in the Management Information Circular under the heading "Summary of Resolutions to be Proposed at the AGM".

Gold in Slovakia: EMED Mining discovered the Biely Vrch porphyry gold deposit and is currently advancing the planning and permitting necessary for development.

EMED Mining has the following other notable earlier-stage activities:

■ Exploration licences in the copper-mining districts of Cyprus; and

■ A 16% shareholding in KEFI Minerals Plc which operates exploration joint ventures in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
