Posting of Notice of 2019 Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders

TransGlobe Energy Corporation (LSE: TGL) confirms that it will post to shareholders a management information circular containing the notice of the 2019 Annual General and Special Meeting.

The 2019 management information circular will be available April 2, 2019 on the Company's website and can be downloaded from https://www.trans-globe.com/investors/public-filings.html or www.sedar.com. The year-end 2018 financial statements and management's discussion and analysis are currently available on the Company's website at https://www.trans-globe.com/investors/financial-reports/.

The 2019 Annual General and Special Meeting will be held on May 10, 2019 at the Centennial Place West Conference Centre, 250 5th Street S.W., in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at 9:00 am (MDT) with a Record Date of March 27, 2019.

The business of the 2019 Annual General and Special Meeting comprises five ordinary resolutions and one special resolution, all of which are detailed in the 2019 management information circular.
