Due to current economic conditions, the Bank will not initiate the exercise of the early redemption options with respect to the Notes at their relevant Step-Up Dates (being the relevant Interest Payment Dates falling in March 2012 in respect of Celtic 9, October 2012 in respect of Celtic 10, March 2012 in respect of Celtic 11 and June 2012 in respect of Celtic 12).

Initially capitalised terms not defined in this notice shall have the meaning given to them under the terms and conditions of the relevant Notes.
