Non-Executive Director to step down at AGM
The Board of Merlin Entertainments plc, a global leader in branded, location-based family entertainment, announces that Miguel Ko, Non-Executive Director on the Merlin Board, has confirmed that he will step down as a Non-Executive Director of the Company at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company (expected to take place in May 2015) and will not put himself forward for re-election.
Miguel Ko joined the Board shortly before Merlin's IPO in November 2013. He has recently assumed a high profile full time executive role in Asia which means that he will not be able to continue in his Non-Executive Director position with Merlin following the 2015 Annual General Meeting.
Sir John Sunderland, Chairman of Merlin, commented:
"On behalf of the Board, I would like to express my thanks to Miguel Ko for his wise and valuable contribution to Merlin, in particular his knowledgeable insights into the Asian leisure market. I wish him every success in his new role."
