Non-Executive Director appointment

Darty plc (the "Company") today announces that it has appointed Alain Grisay as an independent Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. He will sit on the Audit Committee.

Alan Parker, Chairman said:

"One of my priorities since becoming Chairman has been to restructure the Board, and I am delighted to welcome Alain with his extensive knowledge of the City and I am sure he will be a valuable addition to the Board, as we implement our Nouvelle Confiance strategy to deliver an improvement in earnings."

Alain Grisay was the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at F&C Asset Management plc until 2012 having served as Chief Executive Officer from 2006 and as an Executive Director from 2001. Prior to this he worked at JP Morgan for 20 years, as a Managing Director responsible for the investment bank's market client business in Europe.
