Galiform PLC23 November 2006 23 November 2006 Galiform Plc - Non-Executive Appointment Galiform Plc today announces the appointment of Michael Wemms as a Non ExecutiveDirector with immediate effect. Michael Wemms was Chairman of House of Fraser plc from 2001 until November 2006and is a Non Executive Director of Inchcape plc, Majid Al Futtam Group and ColeMyers Limited. He was Chairman of the British Retail Consortium from 2004 until2006. Michael was an Executive Director of Tesco plc from 1989 to 2000, withresponsibility for Store Operations from 1991. He commenced his managementcareer with Tesco in 1971 and held a wide range of executive positions in SupplyChain, IT, Finance and Administration before assuming his Boardresponsibilities. Michael will take over as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee from LesleyKnox who, as previously announced, was planning to step down once a successorhad been appointed. She will retire as a Non Executive Director following ashort transition period, having served since May 2001. Commenting on the appointment, Will Samuel said: "Michael Wemms has a wealth of strategic and operational experience.
