The Board is pleased to announce that its technology has officially been made available to UK hospitals and NHS organisations through the NHS Supply Chain with immediate effect.
The products containing Byotrol available from Synergy Health through the NHS Supplies Catalogue are:
Azo Active range of wipes
Azo Max Active antimicrobial wipes
Wipes in the Oasis Active patient cleaning system
The Azo brand is already well known and widely used within the NHS and the introduction of Byotrol technology to the range will, in the Board's opinion, give NHS organisations a real advantage in combating healthcare acquired infections.
All products are marketed and distributed through Byotrol's healthcare partner, Synergy Health and in total six products containing Byotrol are being made available to the NHS.
According to Stephen Falder, Deputy Chairman of Byotrol, "Byotrol is now available on the NHS Supply Chain catalogue and importantly is available via a well established and trusted brand in the shape of the Azo Active range from Synergy Health. This represents a significant step for the company and the news comes on the back of a five year programme to drive adoption of our technology into the NHS.
"This latest development follows a recent announcement that the NHS's Innovation Hub in the North West, TrusTECH is experiencing encouraging results in a major trial at a leading UK teaching hospital that is evaluating our technology against chlorine based cleaners."
