New Zealand Earthquake - update
The following announcement was released earlier today by M&C's subsidiary, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels New Zealand Limited ("MCK") which is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange. M&C has a 70.2% interest in MCK.

Millennium and Copthorne Hotels New Zealand Ltd (MCK) has the following updates in regards to future reservations at its hotels in Christchurch:
Due to the fact that MCK's hotels remain within the city cordon and are still not able to be accessed freely, MCK now advises that:
• MCK is unable to accept future reservations at Millennium Hotel Christchurch until May 2012.
• MCK is unable to accept future reservations at Copthorne Hotel Christchurch Central for the remainder of 2011 and the whole of 2012.
• Copthorne Hotel Christchurch City (formerly Copthorne Hotel Durham Street) is not accepting future reservations until further notice. The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) has determined that demolition of the hotel should occur as soon as possible.
Guest belongings have now been retrieved from all MCK hotels in Christchurch.
Copthorne Hotel Commodore, Christchurch Airport is fully operational.
MCKs website (www.millenniumhotels.co.nz) has been updated with this information. MCK will continue to provide updates to the market as required.
