Herencia Resources PLC16 April 2008 Herencia Resources plc ("Herencia" or the "Company") New Veins Identified at Paguanta • Two new veins identified adjacent to the 'Patricia' zinc-lead-silver deposit. • Assays from preliminary metallurgical test work return maximum head assay results of 19.7% Zn, 7.36% Pb, 327ppm Ag and 1.56ppm Au. • Significant gold, molybdenum, lead and silver values returned from surface geochemical samples from the 'La Rosa' porphyry-copper prospect. Paguanta Project - 'Patricia' and 'La Rosa' Herencia holds a 70% interest in the Paguanta Project in Northern Chile. ThePaguanta Project now comprises two separate components, located only 3km apartand on the same tenement group: • The 'Patricia' zinc-lead-silver vein deposit • The 'La Rosa' porphyryr-copper prospect The Company announced its maiden zinc-lead-silver resource at 'Patricia' lastyear. The 'La Rosa' porphyry-copper target was announced earlier this month. 'Patricia' - New Veins Identified Geophysics had identified potential new targets at 'Patricia'. Surfacetrenches and sampling have now been completed above these targets and Herenciais pleased to announce that two new veins have been identified. Samples from one vein assayed 97ppm Ag with 0.42% Zn and 24ppm Ag with 0.56% Znfrom oxidised surface material. A second sub-parallel vein has been identifiedby quartz boulders located above two EM targets. Further sampling programs areunderway. The new veins will be drill tested as part of the upcoming 10,000m drillprogram. 'Patricia' - Metallurgical Sampling Program The preliminary metallurgical test work program being undertaken in Perth,Western Australia, has returned initial head assays from the two 150kg bulksamples. The assay results are as follows: • Sample 1 - 19.7% Zn, 7.36% Pb, 327ppm Ag and 1.56g/t Au • Sample 2 - 6.92% Zn, 1.06% Pb, 50ppm Ag and 0.22g/t Au These results are higher than those announced on 3 April 2008 and reflect thesplitting and assaying of the entire bulk sample. Test work is continuing withresults due in late May. 'La Rosa' - Porphyry-Copper Target Following the recognition of a potential porphyry-copper target ('La Rosa') atPaguanta (announced on 3 April 2008), a geochemical sampling grid has beencompleted with several mineralised samples returned, including maximum assayvalues from different samples of 24ppm Ag, 119ppm Mo, 1.51% Pb, 0.57ppm Au and0.27% Zn. Copper values are depleted, as expected. Herencia believes the silver-lead-zinc values may reflect high level epithermalveining cross cutting a porphyry-copper alteration system. Further geochemicalsampling has been undertaken and results are pending. The Company is now finalising a program and budget with a view to drilling the 'La Rosa' prospect immediately following the 'Patricia' drill program, now set tocommence in early May as advised by the drilling contractor.
