Ultrasis PLC11 May 2005 Ultrasis PLC ("Ultrasis") ULTRASIS SECURES NEW ORDER FOR NHS MENTAL HEALTH INTITIATIVE As part of an initiative to promote good mental health throughout the region,Ashton, Leigh and Wigan Primary Care Trust (PCT) has placed an order for a newgeneration of online healthcare programmes provided by interactive healthcarespecialists, Ultrasis. The initiative, entitled Wigan In Mind, provides round the clock access toUltrasis' Relief Series throughout the region. The Relief Series is a selectionof online multimedia programs which provide tools to identify, educate, motivateand monitor people suffering from anxiety, depression, stress and insomnia. Theinteractive self help package, is based on proven Computerised CognitiveBehavioural Therapy (CCBT) techniques.All programmes are easy to use and are available at any time, appealingparticularly to busy people and those who prefer to access the treatment fromthe privacy of their own home. As part of the Wigan in Mind project, registration cards are now available atselected access points across the region, providing free access to the website -www.wiganinmind.com. Jan Campbell, Health Development Manager for Ashton, Leigh and Wigan PCTexplained: "With stress and depression related problems on the increase, wewanted to introduce a scheme which could provide support and treatmentthroughout our region and the Relief Series fits the bill perfectly. "By providing free 24 hour access to anyone who wants it, we are takingproactive steps to deal with problems which affect around 1 in 6 people."
