New share option schemes, grant of options and Director/PDMR shareholding

Judges Scientific Plc, the parent company of a group specialising in the design, manufacture and sale of scientific instruments, announces that the Board has today approved two new share option plans, one approved and one unapproved to replace the two existing schemes that recently lapsed (collectively "the Option Schemes"). Under the Option Schemes the Board may grant options over ordinary shares of 5p in the Group ("Ordinary Shares") to senior management and employees as means to retain and incentivise staff. 60,216 options have today been granted, with an exercise price of 1402.5p, to certain senior management of the Group

In addition, options over 12,500 Ordinary Shares in total have been awarded under the unapproved share option plan to David Cicurel, Chief Executive Officer and David Barnbrook, Chief Operating Officer. The options have been awarded as follows:

The exercise price was set based on the closing mid-market price of the Ordinary Shares as derived from the LSE for Tuesday, 20 October 2015. The options vest subject to continued employment within the Group.

Following these transactions, David Cicurel retains 916,652 Ordinary Shares in the Group, representing 15.10% of Judge's issued share capital and total voting rights. In addition, David Cicurel holds 9,275 options over Ordinary Shares. David Barnbrook retains 21,953 Ordinary Shares in the Group, representing 0.36% of Judges's issued share capital and total voting rights. In addition, David Barnbrook holds 28,325 options over Ordinary Shares.
