Krasnodar, December 24, 2012: OJSC "Magnit" (the "Company"; MICEX and LSE:MGNT) is pleased to announce the opening of the 117th and 118th hypermarkets ofa medium format.
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
We are glad to inform you that on December 22, 2012 the Company has opened its117th hypermarket of a medium format located at 18 Soyfera street, Tula,Central federal district. Assortment of the hypermarket consists of more than14,000 SKUs, out of which about 66% are food items. There are 25 cash desksinstalled in the sales area. The hypermarket is open 7 days a week from 10 amto 10 pm.
Today the Company has opened its 118th hypermarket of a medium format locatedat 74 Geroev Stalingrada prospect, Volgograd, Southern federal district.Assortment of the hypermarket consists of more than 11,600 SKUs, out of whichabout 75% are food items. There are 21 cash desks installed in the sales area.The hypermarket is open 7 days a week from 10 am to 10 pm.

In accordance with the reviewed IFRS consolidated financial statements for 1H2012, the Magnit recorded consolidated revenues of approximately $6.7 billionUSD and a consolidated EBITDA of $671 million USD.
