MX Oil PLC, the AIM listed investing company focused on the re-opening Mexican energy sector, announces that following shareholder approval obtained at the Annual General Meeting held yesterday, the name change from Astar Minerals Plc to MX Oil PLC and new epic, 'MXO', has taken effect. 

Shareholders are advised that existing share certificates in the name of Astar Minerals Plc will remain valid, and that any new share certificates which are issued by the Company will be issued in the name of MX Oil PLC.

In order to reflect the new name and strategy, the Company has launched its new website which can be found at www.mxoil.co.uk.
