New customer contract
Turbo Power Systems Inc ("TPS" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with Scomi Engineering Bhd ("Scomi Engineering") a Malaysian public listed company, to supply auxiliary power units and battery chargers for 12 new monorail vehicles that Scomi Engineering is building for its project in Kuala Lumpur.
Scomi Engineering is a new OEM customer for the Company and extends the number of train builders that the Company supplies. This relationship will enhance the Company's customer diversification and global reach.
Deliveries will commence during 2013 and the value of the contract was included in the Company's existing forecasts. TPS already supplies auxiliary power systems to several monorail projects, including other clients in São Paulo, Brazil, where efficient lightweight systems are considered critical.
