Irish subsidiary signs television series contract with RTÉ Television
Motive announces that its 100%-owned subsidiary Motive Television Ltd, based in Dublin, has been contracted by Irish broadcaster RTÉ to produce a six-part series called "Summer in the Sun - The J1".
The observational documentary series will track the fortunes of a group of young Irish students as they seek work in the U.S.A. under the Irish/U.S. J1 Visa Scheme. The scheme permits Irish students to work and live in America for up to 4 months each summer, in order to encourage Irish/U.S. relations.
The Motive Television cameras will follow three groups of students (one each from Dublin, Galway and Dundalk as they travel to America to find accommodation and summer jobs.)
The series will be shot in Hawaii, Chicago and San Diego during the summer of 2008.
The Executive Producer is Anne McLoughlin, the Series Producer is Bob Kelly and the Producer is Jamie d'Alton.
The series was commissioned by RTÉ's Commissioning Editor for Entertainment and Music Programmes, Eddie Doyle.

A 50% interest in Luminous Productions, which has piloted a new family entertainment show, "Creche Test Dummies", starring Jason Byrne, for RTÉ
A 100% interest in Dublin-based production company Motive Television Ltd, which is producing an observational documentary series, "Summer in the Sun", for Irish broadcaster RTÉ. Motive is currently also in production on a major history of Gaelic games for Setanta Sport, "Part of What We Are", and is producing 10 live GAA matches for Irish broadcaster TV3 this summer (in association with Asgard Media).
A 50% interest in London-based factual entertainment specialist Rumble TV Productions Ltd.
