New contract wins

Petards Group PLC15 December 2006 15 December 2006 Petards Group plc ("Petards" or "the Company") New Contract Awards Petards, the AIM listed developer of advanced surveillance systems, announcesthat Petards Joyce-Loebl has been awarded contracts by the Ministry of Defencewith a total value of £1.3 million for the supply of electronic countermeasuresdispensers and missile warning equipment repair services. The countermeasuresdispensers are for use on the British Army Lynx Mk9 and will provide thoseaircraft with a self protection capability. Deliveries are expected to commencein June 2007. The Ministry of Defence has also confirmed that it has awarded PetardsJoyce-Loebl a one year extension, to April 2008, to its existing exclusiveenabling contract which covers the supply of commercial VHF / UHF non-secureradio products and systems. Petards Chief Executive Bill Conn said "Petards Joyce-Loebl has a long heritagein supplying the UK defence industry and these orders are a demonstration of theconfidence that the Ministry of Defence has in the Company's capability to workon significant projects such as these."
