SciSys wins Contract for the
Future Deployable GEOINT (FDG) System
SciSys PLC (stock code: SSY), the specialist supplier of bespoke software systems, IT based solutions and support services is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract valued at £2.5 million to provide the Future Deployable GEOINT (FDG) System ("the Project").
The contract was awarded by Lockheed Martin UK Integrated Systems & Solutions Limited which is the prime contractor for FDG to the UK's Ministry of Defence. The aim of the Project is to rationalise and upgrade the current GEOINT capability to meet the projected range of military activities and intelligence requirements, including its closer integration into the wider defence information infrastructure. The Project will provide enhanced geospatial intelligence capability to support operations in the land, air and maritime domains.
The contract will run through to May 2013.
