Eurotunnel PLC/Eurotunnel S.A.10 November 2006 Eurotunnel and Nedexco sign contract for 300 000 Channel crossings between 2007 and 2011 Eurotunnel and the Dutch transport and logistic company, Nedexco, have today,Friday 10 November 2006, signed an important contract. They have committed to apartnership to transport 300 000 trucks across the Channel between 2007 and2011. This is the first agreement to link Eurotunnel and a road haulage customer forsuch a long period and for such a high volume of traffic. Established in 1994, Nedexco specialises in refrigerated transport and logisticsmanagement. Nedexco transports several thousand tonnes of fresh produce (fruit,vegetables, meat, fish, chilled foods, flowers...) between Holland, Germany andthe UK. In 2005 Nedexco's revenues were in excess of €31million (£21 million)and continue to develop rapidly. In 2005, Eurotunnel transported 1,308,786 trucks on board its fleet of 16Freight Shuttles. Eurotunnel has carried more than 11 million trucks since thestart of commercial operation in 1994! The company continues to improve thequality of the service offered to hauliers and truck drivers: automatic check-inlanes, number plate recognition system, improvements to the freight terminals,simplified booking system...
