Hampson Industries PLC30 January 2007 New Contract Hampson Industries PLC announces that its US-based subsidiary, Texstars Inc hasbeen awarded a US Department of Defence ("DoD") contract worth US$ 3.2 million(£1.6 million) together with contracts for military export sales worth US$ 1.1million to supply transparencies for the Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter aircraft.The win brings the total of US DoD orders won by Texstars since December 2006 to$6.2 million (£3.2 million) and its total order book to a record level of overUS$30 million (£15.4 million). Commenting on the latest contract win, Chief Executive Kim Ward said: "We are delighted to have secured this latest contract which confirms Texstarsas the supplier of choice on the world's highest volume military aircraftprogramme. The strength of the current order book at Texstars is a testamentnot only to our technical leadership in the field of advanced transparencies,but also to our expanding capability in composite structures for a broader rangeof demanding applications in both commercial as well as military aerospace."
