UBC Media Group PLC30 April 2008 UBC Media Group plc ("UBC" or "The Company") GMG commissions four documentary series from UBC Media Group London, 30 April 2008: UBC Media Group plc (UBC.L) today announces that it andSmooth Operations (Productions) Ltd, its specialist independent radio and TVproduction arm, have been commissioned by Guardian Media Group (GMG) to makefour major documentary series for the Smooth Radio network. UBC Media has been ordered to make 1968: The Year that Rocked the World, afour-part special focusing on the events of one of the most talked about yearsin recent history. Smooth Operations (Productions) Ltd will produce three series: The Rolling Riverof Rock, a seven-part journey exploring the music of the Mississippi river andits tributaries; Rock In The Dock, an entertaining exploration of famous musicalcourt cases and Blogs from the Bunker, an audio diary of the experiences ofsoldiers serving in Iraq. The Rolling River of Rock music series is in production and is due to broadcastin seven parts from Saturday June 14. Rock In the Dock will be aired in Augustand Blogs from the Bunker will go out in November.
