("MoPowered" or "the Group")
New Client Wins in the Building Supplies, Tools and DIY Sector
MoPowered (AIM: MPOW), the mobile commerce specialist, has experienced strong demand for mobile commerce services from retailers in the building supplies, tools and DIY sector over recent months. This has resulted in the Group winning contracts with a number of well-known retailers in this area, most recently Jewson. Jewson is the UK's leading supplier of sustainable timber and building materials, with over 600 branches across the country. Other notable wins included Tooled Up and e-TradeCounter.
The construction industry requires convenient methods to order supplies and tools for delivery to building sites. Mobile commerce meets this need by allowing suppliers to interact with their customers whilst they are on the job, making better buying decisions and more effective inventory control possible. Working with MoPowered, suppliers can offer effective mobile commerce services to their customers without having to incur the heavy costs and long timelines of internal IT projects.
Online specialist merchants like Tooled Up and e-TradeCounter have signed up for MoPowered's mid-market offering, MoPowered Professional. This provides a more cost-effective and efficient way for them to serve their mobile customers by delivering a highly performing mobile platform, provided on a Software-as-a-Service ("SaaS") basis to improve the conversion rates of customers that visit their websites from mobile devices. Jewson is using MoPowered's expertise in smartphone apps to further enrich its strong online proposition.
Continued new client wins in the building supplies, tools and DIY sector will help to underpin the Group's growth for 2014 and beyond.
Dominic Keen, CEO of MoPowered, commented: "I am pleased that the strong pipeline of business that was generated in the first half of 2014 is now converting into contracted business. We consider the building supplier sector to represent a significant opportunity for growth. MoPowered's breadth of experience supporting businesses with sophisticated multi-channel and delivery propositions gives us leverage in this attractive market segment."

NOTES TO EDITORS
MoPowered is a 'Software-as-a-Service' ('SaaS') platform, launched in March 2012, which works with businesses of all sizes, to automate websites and enable mobile commerce. Key distribution partnerships with PayPal, WorldPay and MasterCard enable the Group to access the majority of UK merchants.
The software platform allows automated development of mobile sites rather than custom deployment with the corresponding time and cost advantages. The commercial model is predominantly based on long-term contracted, recurrent revenues.
MoPowered is well positioned to capitalise on the new types of shopping opportunities created by mobile devices. Retailers face significant challenges and are therefore outsourcing to expert mobile partners such as MoPowered. Management believes that half of the e-commerce market has online sales of less than £20m per annum and SaaS solutions are likely to be the best economic alternative for these merchants.
