Pace plc: New Chief Executive Officer Appointment

 

Saltaire, UK, 14 December 2011: Pace plc today announces that Mike Pulli, currently President of Pace Americas, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Pace plc and has joined the Board with immediate effect.

 

He succeeds Neil Gaydon who, after 16 years with Pace plc, has decided to step down to take some time off and look for a fresh challenge.

 

Chairman, Allan Leighton, comments: "Mike has developed a hugely successful business for Pace in the Americas, and his background and gravitas in the industry make him the right leader to succeed Neil and deliver our Strategic plan".

 

"We would like to thank Neil for his significant contribution to Pace over a 16 year period, the last five as CEO, and wish him and his family well for the future."

Biography - Mike Pulli, Chief Executive Officer, Pace Plc

 

Mike Pulli has been appointed CEO of Pace plc after seven years as President of Pace Americas. In his role as CEO, Mike is responsible for leading Pace's global strategy, as set out in the November strategic review announcement.

 

As President of Pace Americas, Mike oversees the company's business in the USA, Canada and LatAm, leading a team of 1500 and growing the operation from just over $30m to $1.7 billion in revenues. Mike expanded the Pace Americas customer base from two in 2004, to over 150 in 2011, including Comcast, AT&T and DirecTV.

 

Prior to joining Pace in 2004, Mike was CEO of Digital Latin America (DLA), which he founded in March 2000. DLA is a broadcasting company that serves the Latin American market with over 50 channels of digital programming.

 

Mike spent eight years at Motorola in various international senior management positions, including Vice President of International Operations, Vice President/Managing Director - Latin America, Director of Wireless Products Management and Director of Business Planning.

 

Earlier in his career, Mike served in a variety of financial positions at Allied-Signal, Inc., including Director of International Finance, and Director of Foreign Exchange and Global Cash Management.

 

Mike holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Rider University and an MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University.
