New chairman appointment and directorate changes

Environmental Recycling Technologies plc (AIM: ENRT), the patent rights holder to the Powder Impression Moulding ("PIM") process which converts mixed waste plastics into commercially viable products, is pleased to announce a restructuring of the board of the Company which will take immediate effect.

Thomas Michael Strafford Rowan, known as Michael, has been appointed as Executive Chairman of Environmental Recycling Technologies plc (ERT), to take up the role immediately, succeeding Ken Brooks, who will retire from the Board after 18 years as a director. In addition Roger Baynham, Jeremy Allen, John Mayfield, Matt Cooper and Ash Patel have resigned from the board.

Mr Rowan qualified as a solicitor and is an experienced corporate financier with a broad range of international commercial and legal experience. After graduating from Gonville & Caius College at the University of Cambridge, he practised as a solicitor at Linklaters in London, Hong Kong and New York, working with leading global financial institutions.

He then moved to Merrill Lynch International and over a period of 10 years in London and New York, he was one of the senior members of Equity Capital Markets team, in which role he was responsible for origination and, execution of equity and equity-linked transactions. Since then he has held a number of senior roles within the Venture Capital, Mid Cap Broking sectors with Accelera Capital, Numis Securities and Charles Stanley Securities in London and Hong Kong and was most recently Business Development Director at JM Finn & Co. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Active Energy Group Plc, an international supplier of wood fibre products for MDF manufacturing and Biomass for Energy power generation. In August 2015, Mr Rowan was appointed to the Board of AIM listed company Active Energy Group Plc.

The following details in relation to the appointment of Mr. Rowan, aged 49, are disclosed in accordance with Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules:

Mr Rowan is deemed beneficially to be interested in 1,170,000 ordinary shares in the Company's issued share capital.

There are no other disclosures required in accordance with Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules.
