New ceramics production line commissioned
Ultra-efficient & set to deliver €15 million per annum improvement to earnings
Victoria PLC, (LSE: VCP) the international designer, manufacturer, and distributor of innovative flooring, announces that its Ceramics Division has completed commissioning of its V4 production line at its Keraben subsidiary in Spain, and has now started production.
The V4 line at Keraben is a key component of the Company's internal initiatives to improve earnings as set out at the FY2025 annual results. The new highly automated line is expected to deliver a step-change in earnings due to its scale and efficiency and is anticipated to have a positive impact of circa €15 million per annum on the Company's earnings once at full capacity.
The Company has taken significant steps to reorganise its Ceramics Division, reducing costs and improving operational efficiency while protecting the structural capacity required to support an expected recovery in demand. These changes, along with improved cost control, optimised product portfolios, and more efficient use of manufacturing assets, are expected to enhance profitability over the medium term.
Further details will be provided at the Company's upcoming half year results.
José Luis LLacuna, Chief Executive Office of Victoria Plc's Ceramics Division, commented:
"This is an enormous milestone for the ceramics business - our line has been designed and built to deliver unmatched efficiency, precision and quality. We already have a talented and committed team in place who have been able to hit the ground running and, as CEO of the Division, I'm extremely proud of what we're doing at Keraben."
Geoff Wilding, Executive Chairman of Victoria Plc, also added:
"Our team have done a fantastic job delivering this project on schedule. We broke ground in FY24 so to have reached this position is an exceptional achievement. The benefit the Group will see in the coming years is considerable and we are confident that our team in Spain will continue to deliver to the high standards they've set."
