InternetQ confirms strong new business pipeline for both mobile marketing and AKAZOO
Accelerated growth in Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and Southeast Asia underpins growth prospects
InternetQ plc (LSE-AIM: INTQ), one of the leading providers of mobile marketing and entertainment solutions, today confirms that it has successfully secured significant mobile marketing campaigns for its core business, winning new campaigns with leading organizations across its geographic footprint.
InternetQ's new business pipeline builds on the momentum achieved in second half of 2011, when the Group grew revenues by 55%, compared to the corresponding period of 2010. These recent wins reinforce InternetQ's leading market position as a powerful value-added business aggregator for mobile network operators in key emerging markets around the world. The most recent agreements and partnerships include:
·; Successful rollout of a mobile enabled campaign in Russia for the "2013 World University Games" of Kazan. InternetQ was selected in late 2011 to deliver a campaign on its proprietary Mobi-Dialogue platform with a 'brief' to generate excitement and market interest around the popular event. The campaign includes website creation, interactive games to keep users engaged, SMS notifications and trivia competitions. A portion of the campaign's expected profits are to be allocated to support local university sports charity programs.
·; Launch of a mega promo campaign on behalf of Warid Telekom, the third largest mobile network operator in Pakistan with approximately 15 million subscribers. The campaign, a stimulating trivia quiz in the local language of Urdu, is managed by Mobi-Dialogue and delivered through a local partner in the region.
·; In cooperation with a regional partner, secured an agreement to deliver customer retention mobile campaigns in Zambia on behalf of MTN (for the third time in a row), in Laos on behalf of Beeline (first time), in Malta on behalf of Vodafone (first time) and in Iraq on behalf of Korek Telekom (first time).
·; New agreement with Fox TV in Turkey, one of the most popular national TV networks, under which InternetQ holds the exclusive rights to the network's interactive mobile services including voting, polling, content downloading and many more. All such services will be promoted by the network's air time ad slots and are expected to create a continuous new revenue stream for both partners.
·; Agreement with all mobile network operators of Turkey, Turkcell, Vodafone and Avea, to launch the first ever AKAZOO enabled mobile marketing campaign to create awareness of the service to part of their combined 65 million mobile subscriber base. The campaign is expected to start within the next few weeks and continue throughout the year. Similar marketing initiatives have already commenced in Poland.
·; New agreement with DiGame to handle the Eurovision Song Competition (ESC) voting for both the Greek and the Turkish markets. Watched by over 100 million people, the 57th edition of the ESC in 2012, which is transmitted out of Baku, Azerbaijan, will consist of a large scale vote collation service replacing legacy telephony technology.
·; Launch of the AKAZOO social music service in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia, targeting a total of over 100 million mobile subscribers. The response rates in all aforementioned countries, which have been comparatively under-served by digital music services compared to Europe and North America, are very encouraging and a sign of AKAZOO's continued success, the service already boasts 2.7 million registered users, up 35% since the end of 2011. Moreover, InternetQ is about to launch a new phase of growth and expansion of the AKAZOO service in Indonesia and the Philippines, while Northern Asia is expected to follow shortly.
·; Presentation of the prestigious "Golden Partner Award" by Turkcell, for InternetQ's valuable contribution to the carrier's business innovation and development. Moreover, the operator presented the company with the "Best Mobile Service" award for its success in mobile marketing during 2011, demonstrating the value that Turkcell, Turkey's premier mobile network operator, places in InternetQ's expertise in strategically managing their mobile marketing programs.
Konstantinos Korletis, CEO of InternetQ commented:
"The global growth potential of mobile marketing and mobile entertainment services focuses predominately on the rapidly expanding economies of Asia and Eastern Europe. We have been consistently seeking local partners, including mobile network operators, to bring our cutting-edge mobile marketing technology to both new and existing clients in these markets and our efforts are paying off.
Both sides of our business -meaning mobile marketing and AKAZOO- are growing with impressive rates, as we have started exploiting the synergies between the two and our clients are recognizing the strategic value of our proposition".
