United Drug PLC26 February 2008 NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT AT UNITED DRUG PLC The Board of United Drug plc is today (Tuesday, 26 February 2008) pleased toannounce the appointment of Mr. Philip Toomey as a non-executive director of theCompany with effect from Wednesday, 27 February 2008. Mr. Toomey is the Global Chief Operating Officer for the Financial ServicesIndustry practice of Accenture. He has wide ranging international managementconsulting experience and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountantsin Ireland and a member of the Accenture Global Leadership Council. Pursuant to paragraph 6.6.7 of the ISE Listing Rules and 9.6.13 of the UKLAListing Rules, United Drug hereby notifies the following: a. Mr. Toomey has no current directorships in other publicly quoted companies or has held any at any time within the previous five years b.
