Change in accounting reference date

United Carpets Group plc ("the Company" or "United Carpets"), the specialist retail carpet and floor covering operator, announces that, following the recent Group restructuring, it has decided to revert from its current accounting reference date of 30 September back to its former accounting reference date of 31 March. Following the change to the accounting reference date, the Company's next financial results will be its audited accounts for the 6 months ended 31 March 2013. United Carpets intends to announce its preliminary results for the six months ended 31 March 2013 by 31 July 2013 and published its audited report and accounts for the six months ended 31 March 2013 before 30 September 2013.
