Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in Pittsburgh,increasing network coverage and capacity in portions of AlleghenyCounty. £ The network enhancement enables more Verizon Wireless customers touse their wireless phones to make calls; send and receive email andtext, picture and video messages; and download games and ringtones. £ The new cell site improves network coverage and capacity alongState Route 837 from Becks Run Road east to the Glenwood Bridge, andalong State Route 885 from the Glenwood Bridge south to theintersection of Mifflin and Lebanon Church roads. £ "Verizon Wireless is committed to improving our premier wirelessvoice and data network," said Roger Tang, president-Ohio/PennsylvaniaRegion, Verizon Wireless.
