NCSP Group's Cargo Turnover Reaches 58.7 million tonnes for 5 month 2015

NCSP Group (LSE: NCSP, MOEX: NMTP) hereby reports that its consolidated cargo turnover for five months 2015 reached 58.7 million tonnes, exceeding that of same period 2014 by 1% or 0.6 million tonnes.

Liquid cargo volume totaled 46 284 thousand tonnes; bulk cargo - 4 391 thousand tonnes; general cargo - 5 916 thousand tonnes; and containers - 2 093 thousand tonnes and 200 thousand TEU. Bulk and general cargo combined increased by 813 thousand tonnes and 8.6% year-on-year.

CEO of PJSC NCSP Sultan Batov commented on operating results for 5M 2015:

«Though Group's cargo traffic for five months only slightly increased over last year, certain key cargoes grow ahead of the Russian port industry and volumes increase month on month.

In particular, volumes of ferrous metals and pig iron increased 17.5% year-on-year, which is 6.3 percent points faster that industry's average growth rate, and in May versus April 2015 this cargo was up by 7.4%.

The lifting of wheat export duty since May 23, and extra volumes of barley and corn drove grain volumes up by 50% and 151 thousand tonnes in May versus April 2015.

Volumes of chemical cargo and iron ore increased by 158% and 88% in May over April.

PJSC NCSP and PJSC Novoroslesexport handled 36.3 thousand TEU of containers in May 2015, which is 13.8% more, than the month before».

Liquid Cargo

NCSP Group handles 46 284 thousand tonnes of liquid cargo in January - May 2015. Crude oil volumes totaled 31 867 thousand tonnes. Oil products volumes were up by 1 735 thousand tonnes and 14% reaching 14 047 thousand tonnes. Oil products' growth rate exceeded that of the industry by 2 percent points. UAN and seed oils volumes for 5M 2015 comprised 229 thousand tonnes and 142 thousand tonnes respectively.

Bulk Cargo

Bulk cargo volumes totaled 4 391 thousand tonnes in January - May 2015, including 2 120 thousand tonnes of grain; 463 thousand tonnes of chemical cargo; 496 thousand tonnes of sugar; 681 thousand tonnes of iron ore, and 631 thousand tonnes of coal.

Volumes if chemical cargo increased by 210 thousand tonnes and 83% year-on-year, and grew 158% in May versus April 2015.

Iron ore volumes increases 1.1% year on year, while in May compared to April 2015 they grew 88% and 235 thousand tonnes. Steep growth was supported by improvements in the global markets, including sharp rise in scrap metal process in Europe in April - May 2015.

Coal volumes increased by 249 thousand tonnes and 65.4% year on year reaching 631 thousand tonnes, while in May they rose by 22.3% and 28 thousand tonnes against April 2015.

General Cargo

In the reporting period general cargo volumes increased by 797 thousand tonnes and 15.6% year-on-year and reached 5 916 thousand tonnes.

Ferrous metals and pig iron was up 738 thousand tonnes and 17.5% year-on-year, exceeding industry's average growth rate by 6.3 percent points, and in May in grew 7.4% against April.

Timber cargo was up 254 thousand tonnes and 3.7% year-on-year. Non-ferrous metals volumes reached 497 thousand tonnes, up by 68 thousand tonnes and 16% year-on-year.

Volumes of perishable and other cargo for five months of 2015 comprised 104 thousand tonnes and 99 thousand tonnes respectively.

Containers

Container traffic totaled 2 093 thousand tonnes or some 200 thousand TEU in 5M 2015. Volume of loaded containers in tonnes reduced 9.7% year-on-year, which is 5.8 percent points less, than the industry's total decrease of loaded containers volumes' by 15.5% year-on-year, according to ASOP.
