Naheed Memon Appointed to National Hydrogen Working Group in Pakistan
Oracle Power PLC (AIM: ORCP), an international project developer, is pleased to announce that CEO, Naheed Memon, has been appointed as a member of Pakistan's National Hydrogen Working Group (the "Group").
The Group, established by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, is tasked with developing a long-term national hydrogen strategy. This includes frameworks for hydrogen research, production, storage, consumption, and export, with an emphasis on enabling Pakistan to harness green hydrogen as part of the energy transition and for economic growth.
Ms. Memon's appointment reflects Oracle's growing reputation in the clean energy sector in Pakistan, particularly through its ongoing development of the green hydrogen project in the Sindh Province. Her participation will help shape a policy environment conducive to private sector involvement and international collaboration in the hydrogen sector.

The National Hydrogen Working Group has been constituted by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives of Pakistan to lead the development of the country's long-term hydrogen strategy. Comprising representatives from federal and provincial governments, regulatory bodies, academia, and the private sector, the Group is tasked with formulating a comprehensive policy and regulatory framework for hydrogen production, storage, transport, and utilisation. Its mandate includes identifying infrastructure needs, promoting research and innovation, encouraging private sector participation, and enabling Pakistan to position itself as a competitive player in the global green hydrogen economy.
