Naguib Sawiris Assumes the Responsibility of Chief Executive Officer of OTMT following Ahmed Abou Doma's Apology to Continue in his Position as CEO

Cairo, October 22nd, 2014: Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding S.A.E. ("OTMT") announced today that Mr. Ahmed Abou Doma has apologized to continue in his duties as a member of the Board of Directors and as CEO of the company for personal reasons. Mr. Abou Doma submitted his resignation during the board meeting held on October 22, 2014, to be effective as of October 22, 2014. The Board of Directors expressed its understanding of the reasons for resignation and approved the resignation of Mr. Ahmed Abou Doma from his membership of the Board of Directors and as CEO of the company to be effective as of October 22, 2014.

In light of the aforementioned changes, the Board of Directors discussed the structure of the Board and approved the appointment of Engineer. Naguib Sawiris, Executive Chairman of the company, as Executive Chairman and CEO.

The assumption of Mr. Naguib Sawiris of the responsibilities of CEO in person indicates his commitment to OTMT and his keenness to drive the growth of the company forward and explore its full potential.

Mr. Sawiris commented on this move saying: "We are sorry that Ahmed was not able to continue with OTMT, but I am eager to take the chance to turn around this unfortunate hindrance into an opportunity to personally lead a new take-off for OTMT with an ambitious new growth strategy."
