MySQUAR invited to join Google's SEA discussion panel

Google, the world's largest internet services company, has invited MySQUAR, the Myanmar social media and entertainment platform, to join the discussion panel at an event being held in March for Google's largest partners in South East Asia.

MySQUAR, which now has more than two million users in Myanmar and recently entered a cross-promotion partnership with international telecoms provider Ooredoo, will be part of a panel of senior Google executives and partners, discussing techniques for growth and monetization within South East Asian markets.

The audience of about 150 will be made up of leaders of key web and app businesses in the region, who will also have the opportunity to network and discuss the successes they are experiencing. The event will take place in Singapore on 22 March 2016. MySQUAR will be represented by Nicolas Embleton, Director of Product Development, Monetization.

This follows the acceptance last September of MySQUAR's social networking app MyCHAT by the Accelerate track of FbStart, Facebook's program to support the best mobile startups, involving up to US$80,000 in free services and tools. This was in recognition of MyCHAT's dramatic growth and impact. Facebook told MySQUAR: "Your app was chosen because of its impressive development so far and its potential for continued growth."

MySQUAR's CEO Eric Schaer said: "It is remarkable and very gratifying that an app launched in Myanmar little more than a year ago should now be attracting the favourable attention of the world's largest internet technology companies."
