Civilian Content PLC14 February 2005 CIVILIAN CONTENT PLC PRODUCTION "MY SUMMER OF LOVE" WINS BEST BRITISH FILM AT 2004 BAFTAS 14 FEBRUARY 2005 Civilian Content Plc is delighted that its film "My Summer of Love" won thehighly prestigious Alexander Korda Award for The Outstanding British Film of theYear at the 2004 BAFTA ceremony held on 12 February 2005. Funding for the film was arranged by Civilian Content subsidiary, The FilmConsortium, which also acted as co-executive producer. Financiers and productionpartners included the BBC (which pre-bought UK rights), the UK Film Council, andBaker Street Media. World rights to all media are being marketed and have beensubstantially sold by Civilian Content subsidiary, the film sales agency, TheWorks. "My Summer of Love" premiered to international buyers at the 2004 Toronto FilmFestival and is currently being screened at the Berlin Film Festival. It hasbeen universally acclaimed by critics and at the 2004 Edinburgh Film Festivalwon the Michael Powell Award for Best New British Feature. "My Summer of Love" is the latest film by Pawel Pawlikowski, director of theaward-winning "Last Resort". It is set in contemporary Yorkshire and tells avibrant tale of two sixteen year olds (played by newcomers Natalie Press andEmily Blunt) who spend a long hot English summer together.
