("CPE" or the "Company")
Mr Duncan Chui
China Private Equity Investments Holdings Limited (AIM: CPEH) announces that Mr Duncan Chui, the Company's Chief Investment Officer (who is not a director of the Company), has been criticised by the Market Misconduct Tribunal in Hong Kong ("MMT") in relation to dealings in the shares of a Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed company, Sino Katalytics Investment Corporation which is unrelated to the Company, undertaken by Mr Chui in January 2009, prior to CPE being admitted to trading on AIM in October 2009. Mr Chui has strongly denied the allegations made against him and intends to appeal the decision of the MMT.
The day to day management of the Company has not changed as a result of the MMT decision and Mr Chui will continue to focus on overseeing the progress of portfolio investments. The Company's board of directors retains responsibility for the investment decisions of the Company.
