Chris Hunt, Chief Executive of DCD, commented,

"We've had a tremendous boost from the MIPCOM television festival across the whole group. We arrived there with our strongest and broadest slate of programming to date and our vertically integrated model, of in-house distribution, enabled us to capitalise on its value in its entirety, demonstrating added value for shareholders.

It is not a coincidence that the genres of programming that we are focused on are the very same areas that many of the major broadcasters, including the BBC, are refining their focus to - primetime high-end drama, entertainment and documentaries are at the forefront of DCD's strategy. Even with the BBC's recent announcements it is notable that the kinds of programmes DCD produces for the BBC are exactly those that the BBC has announced a commitment to maintain and develop."
