Miner dies of unknown causes at the CSM Mine
New World Resources Plc ('NWR' or the 'Company') regrets to announce that on Monday 28 May a miner passed away at his place of work at the CSM Mine of OKD, a.s. ('OKD'), NWR's Czech subsidiary.
The 38-year-old employee was found dead approximately 1,000 metres underground and we continue to investigate the matter. NWR expresses its deepest condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased miner.
An investigative committee comprising members of the District Mining Authority in Ostrava, CSM Mine management, OKD management, the OKD Trade Unions representatives and the Police of the Czech Republic is now conducting an enquiry into the incident.
There was no immediate impact on production.
