Middle East distribution for SensiumVitals®

Toumaz Limited (AIM: TMZ, 'Toumaz', or 'the Group'), a pioneer in ultra-low power wireless semiconductor technology, announces that Sensium Healthcare, its wireless healthcare division, has signed distribution agreements for SensiumVitals® in five Middle East markets.

The Group has entered into agreements with the leading distributors of patient monitoring devices in the Middle East. The Group's wireless vital signs monitoring system will now be available in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Lebanon and Bahrain.

These new agreements follow the establishment of Sensium Healthcare's direct sales force in the UK, Germany and France and distribution agreements in USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal and Scandinavia.

About SensiumVitals®

SensiumVitals® is an ultra-low power system for wireless monitoring of patient vital signs, including heart rate, temperature and respiration. Measurements are taken every two minutes, rather than every four to eight hours, as currently standard in general wards. Patient data is then sent wirelessly and securely to clinicians via hospital IT systems. 

The key benefit of SensiumVitals® is that it provides clinicians with rapid warnings of patient deterioration, which in turn allows for earlier interventions, shorter stays in hospital and lower healthcare costs. The system also enables patients to be monitored whilst moving around freely within the hospital - a further factor in aiding swift recovery.
