Micro Focus International plc ("Micro Focus"; LSE MCRO.L),announces the appointment of Dr Paul Pester as a Non-ExecutiveDirector with immediate effect. £ Dr Pester, 43, is Managing Director of Consumer Banking at LloydsTSB Group, with responsibility for the Group's 15 million retailbanking customers. He is also Chairman of the British Bankers'Association (BBA) Retail Committee, and Chairman of the TravellersCheque Association. £ From September 2007 Dr Pester will join Moneyfacts Group, theleading financial information services provider, as CEO. £ Prior to joining Lloyds TSB, Dr Pester spent six years with theVirgin Group, the last five of which were as the Group Chief ExecutiveOfficer at Virgin Money, the Virgin Group's financial servicesbusiness. Earlier roles included Director of Corporate Strategy andPlanning at AMP (UK), preceded by senior positions at McKinsey &Company and Scientific Generics, providing strategy consulting totechnology based companies. Dr Pester holds a first class honoursdegree in physics from Manchester University and a doctorate inmathematical physics from Oxford University. £ Commenting on this appointment, Kevin Loosemore, Chairman, said: £ "Paul is a very important addition to our Board.
