Michael Russell appointed Head of Private Equity - Property
Charlemagne Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Russell as Head of Private Equity - Property, based in London with immediate effect.
Michael will be responsible for overseeing and developing Charlemagne's Private Equity team and projects within European Convergence Property Company plc, European Convergence Development Company plc and the BRIC property programme. Michael will also play a lead role in raising further funds for property investments within Charlemagne. Michael takes over day to day responsibilities from David Curl.
Michael joins from Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance ("JLL") where he was a National Director in the Private Equity team operating a number of non-discretionary private investor property funds. Within JLL Michael was also responsible for developing and operating a development company set up with Middle Eastern backers. He is a qualified accountant who has spent much of his career within the property development industry, including most recently being CFO of Parkview, the developer of Battersea Power Station and COO/Group FD of Chelsea Village PLC.
