Lonmin PLC09 November 2005 9 NOVEMBER 2005 MESSINA MINORITIES Following the acquisition of Southern Platinum Corp. ("SPC"), the Lonmin Groupcurrently owns 91.5% of Messina Limited ("Messina"). On 16 September 2005, Lonmin Plc (the "Company") announced a firm intention toacquire the remaining shares of Messina at a price of R33.00 per share, equatingto the price paid to the holders of SPC shares. In furtherance of the offer, the Company purchased 660 Ordinary shares ofMessina on 4 November 2005 and a further 1,723 Messina shares on 7 November2005.
