The following replaces the Merger Update announcement released today 30 September 2011 at 12:00 under RNS number 2939P. The full amended text appears below:

"The OFT has published the text of its decision on the completed acquisition by Capita Group plc of NorthgateArinso's pensions administration business, which was found not to qualify. This decision can be found on the Office of Fair Trading's website at www.oft.gov.uk .
